Sitting outside of Taco Mac, one of the fastest production cars ever made... beautiful

I went to dinner last night with some friends, and I saw this monster sitting in the parking lot. I’ve always been a big fan of the Ford GT40, especially the remake (a version for my generation, I guess), but I’ve only seen them on the highway or on television. This was the first time I was able to walk around and take pictures of one like a tourist on vacation.

It really made me feel like a little kid.

We sat outside at the restaurant where I was able to stare at it throughout dinner. My poor friends had no idea what a super car can do to my attention span. I’m pretty sure I missed a gripping discussion on Bill Clinton and North Korea.

Jeremy Clarkson test drove one of these cars on Top Gear, and loved it so much he bought one (I can’t leave out the fact he bought a lemon, though). It’s one of my all-time favorite clips from the show. Video after the jump.
