Loeb: ‘I can’t say if I’m ready for F1 drive’ – The World Rally Championship’s most dominating driver ever has been testing for a potential debut in Formula One. Sebastien Loeb recently tested a GP2 car in Spain in preperation for a rumored start at this year’s F1 finale in Abu Dubai. His test was disappointing. He finished 26th out of 26 drivers in lap speed, nearly three seconds off the pace (that’s a ton of time in open-wheel course racing). Loeb spoke to WRC.com afterward:

I cannot say if I’m ready to line up on an F1 grid yet. I know that I lack driving with this type of car. The inexperience is a handicap. Just now I don’t know how good I would be if a possible opportunity to participate in a Grand Prix presented itself.

Araujo confirmed as P-WRC champion – Armindo Araujo has finally been given the crown after Nasser Al-Attiyah’s disqualification from the Acropolis Rally earlier the year.

Franchitti Wins IRL Season Title – I caught this race. It was the first time in the history of the series than an entire race was run without flying the caution flag. It was also the second time that Dario Franchitti has captured the series championship (previously in 2007).

Ferrari rule out Massa return this season – It looks like the Brazilian will likely wait until next season before making his return to Formula One. I can’t say I blame the team, they have plenty of replacement drivers in line waiting to go. I like Massa, though, and wish him a speedy recovery!
