USRC leaderboard updated

The United States Rally Championship points standings have been updated following the Idaho Rally held earlier this month.

With three rounds in the books, the remainder of the season promises to be an exciting affair. The next round of the championship was scheduled to be the West Virginia Rally, but organizers have called off the event (we’re still waiting on more details regarding the cancellation). If there are no further complications in the scheduling, we’re officially halfway through the 2009 season.

Round five of the season, Gorman Ridge Rally, already has an entry list posted, but at the moment there are only a handful of competitors listed.

The rally doesn’t take place until the end of August, and registration will be open until the day of the event (but expect to pay a small late fee). The entry list has hovered around 30 cars for the past few years. If this trend holds true, we should expect to see the current list at least double in size.
