Work is almost complete in turning Beijing’s Bird’s Nest stadium into a race track for The Race of Champions – one of the first major events to be held at the venue since the Olympic Games last year.

International Sportsworld Communicators (ISC) is looking to expand the FIA World Rally Championship to fifteen events starting in 2011, according to an article on eWRC.cz. This year, the series ran twelve events. The calendar will expand to thirteen rounds next season.

Sno*Attack to reward 2WD competitors
Sno*Drift, the opening round of the 2010 Rally America Championship Series, recently announced the creation of a special incentive program for 2WD entrants. Sno*Attack will group all the drivers in 2WD rally cars into a single group. Competitors will be driving for a share of a $2,500 prize fund.
