Race of Champions Nation’s Cup video recap

Despite a poor showing in the individual portion of the Race of Champions, Travis Pastrana and Tanner Foust did well in this year’s Nation’s Cup by making it to the semi-finals (where they lost against eventual winners Germany).

Here’s a ‘not-so-secret’ spy video of the new Fiesta S2000 testing. There aren’t a ton of shots of the car (you can hear it better than you can see it), but it looks promising. I can’t wait for the official unveiling next Wednesday (11.18.09).

I sure hope we start seeing Fiestas on the stages in Rally America.

Lake Superior Performance Rally video

Intense Black River Stages jump

Thanks to superstock89 for uploading this video of a Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX 2008 at Black River Stages Rally. He’s got a whole mess of videos (most better quality than this one) from BRS.

Funny thing, though. I don’t see an Eclipse on the entry list, so I have no idea who the driver is! Any tips would be most appreciated.

Update: The car could be an Eagle Talon. Car number 4 from 2008.

Rally Colorado ride-along

Check out William Caswell as he tears up Rally Colorado’s final stage, Elkhead Flats #2. Caswell, driving a 1991 BMW 318i, finished the stage 20th. It’s worth mentioning that this was only his second gravel rally.

YouTuber Raptord put together this awesome video from last weekend’s Rally Défi. The stages didn’t look quite as I would expect them to look. They seemed rugged and cut very deep, but the action was fast, nonetheless.

These videos are awesome. I’ve said it a lot, but I really enjoyed seeing a Ford Mustang GT on the stages at OFR. I talked to Mark Utecht, driver of the GT, and will post the conversation tomorrow.

Ojibwe ride-along (part 2)

Here are two more videos of Chris Greenhouse from Ojibwe Forests Rally. These in-car videos were taken during the rally’s third stage, Steamboat. If you look carefully four minutes into the second video, you’ll see a stranded Ken Block on the side of the stage.
